Any Questions?

Ending a meeting with, “Any questions?” and taking silence as commitment is one of the biggest errors I see insecure leaders make.

As Leadership First‘s post reminded me, It is easy to see complaints as resistance or suggestions as complications, but they are truly a sign of commitment. Employees are committed enough to the success of the team that they will speak up. They are also an invitation to lead more clearly and empathetically – to understand what is important to employees that may be at risk and to help them see what other important opportunities are opened by the change.
